Andrea is a graduate of Florida State University where she received her master’s degree in corporate and public communication. With the hopes of starting a family with her husband, she left the high-paced corporate world of working in television and began teaching college marketing and communication courses for several universities online. She is now the mom of two little ones -Finn born in 2009 and Stella born in 2011.
After the birth of her first child and a lofty weight gain, Andrea discovered the challenge of juggling time to achieve her fitness goals and meet the demands of motherhood while promoting an early example of healthy living for her family. She embarked on a half-marathon challenge that propelled her into the mommy blogging world where she discovered an abundance of other mothers around the world with the same goals. Through this newfound inspiration and encouragement, she sought various ways to incorporate her little one into her own fitness and marathon training, and in the process, discovered Baby Boot Camp.
Completing her first half-marathon at 20 weeks pregnant with her second child, Andrea understands the struggle new moms have in trying to get back in shape, stay active, find a social support group, while still spending quality time with your children. That is what she found so rewarding about Baby Boot Camp – you can do all of this.
Whether you are a new mom or experienced mom, Andrea’s goal is to help you become stronger and healthier. These traits not only make it easier to meet the physical demands of motherhood, but enable mothers to feel the strength, confidence, and mental well-being that comes from a healthy lifestyle.
With specialized training in prenatal and postpartum fitness, Andrea is an ACE nationally certified personal trainer. She is also Basic Life Skills (including adult/child/infant CPR and AED) certified.
