Safety Policy: Strollers & Sickness
All children under the age of 5 MUST be in a stroller at all times.
It can be difficult for a child and mom to get through a 45-60 minute class without drama. That’s OK! All of us, instructors included, have had our child melt down during class. This period where they get used to being in their stroller during class is called "stroller training." Just as you wouldn't take your baby out of a car seat while you’re driving, taking a baby out of their stroller interrupts their "training" for Baby Boot Camp classes.
What happens if my child screams during the entire class?
If your child needs you, please stop and help them by tucking in their blanket or locating their snack, drink or toy. If you have an infant, we recommend that you keep your baby carrier (not sling) in your stroller so they can be close to you while you keep moving. Nursing moms are encouraged to stop and nurse their baby if letdown occurs or the baby needs them. Occasionally, despite your best effort, your child may need more attention. We will either ask you to pull over and stop for a moment, or we will jog out and come back to get you. Either way, just know that we have all been there!
Pack snacks, games, blankies, and extra water for your child.
Planning for the worst will make your workout the best. Also, there are times when other moms may have their kiddo dump their snack and may need some help from their friends. We are a group of moms who support each other!
Sharing is great, but….
Sometimes it’s complicated. If your child has any allergies, please be sure to let everyone know. Likewise, please try to bring “neutral” snacks, like crackers, pretzels, or raisins. Also, make sure to leave your child’s most favorite toy EVER at home or tether it to the stroller. Some of our little friends like to grab and dash.
We're not down with the sickness...
If you suspect your child is sick, please keep your child in the stroller for the ENTIRE class. If you or your child is sick, please talk to your Baby Boot Camp instructor to ensure you are following their sick policy. If you have knowingly been exposed to something highly contagious, such as hand, foot & mouth disease, croup or strep, you'll be required to take a day or two off to see if your family shows symptoms. We won’t take offense!
Holiday Closure Policies
We encourage our Owners to close their business for the final two weeks of each year. This is done so our Owners can focus on family time, and so clients have the extra time to spend with their families since most school closures coincide with our recommended holiday closure.
We advise our Owners to determine prices based on having a two week closure each year. For example, the price for a monthly unlimited plan is determined based on three classes a week for 50 weeks a year.
Similar to a gym membership, we don't offer a reduced price for schedule changes or closures, as they have already been factored in.Our Owners may provide at-home workouts during their scheduled closure, but this is not a corporate requirement.
