National fitness program recognizes instructor for promoting mom-and-baby fitness

Sarasota, Florida, Sept. 9, 2011—Baby Boot Camp, a national pre- and post-natal fitness program, awarded the 2011 Instructor of the Year to Amy Castelluccio, of Baby Boot Camp in Yuba City and Plumas Lake, Calif., at its annual conference in Sarasota, Fla., on Sept. 9.

Among the criteria for the Instructor of the Year are client nominations, one of which was contributed by Brianna Broin of Plumas Lake, Calif.  

“Amy’s sense of humor and honesty are what make her exceptional. Her sense of humor keep classes fun even when she’s pushing us hard,” Broin wrote. “She opens up to us all about motherhood and the struggles involved, and that really helps me feel like part of a community instead of just an exercise group.”

More than 70 owners and instructors from across the country attended business-building classes and exercise demonstrations as part of a four-day conference sponsored by C9 by Champion, Earth’s Best, Mountain Buggy strollers and Mama Mio skincare, among others.

Available in over 500 locations across the United States, Baby Boot Camp offers fitness and nutrition programs designed specifically to help moms get fit in the years following childbirth. Parents incorporate their children and stroller as an integral part of the small group training classes. Weekly play dates and monthly moms’ night out events provide additional social support for new moms.
