Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Kristen, based in Sarasota, Florida, created MOMLETA in 2001, while living in San Francisco, California.
After the birth of her daughter, Kristen looked extensively into postpartum fitness options. When she was unable to find a challenging workout that did not require hiring a personal trainer and a babysitter, she combined her expertise as a personal trainer and Pilates instructor to develop the Baby Boot Camp class format. In Fall 2005, she and her family relocated the company to Sarasota, Florida, where she continues to grow and develop the overall MOMLETA franchise system offering Baby Boot Camp and a range of other fitness programs targeting moms of all ages and stages.
Kristen has been a certified fitness professional for over 17 years as a certified personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and a certified group exercise instructor with the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Kristen is a continuing education provider for both ACE and AFAA, and has authored over a dozen fitness program manuals and training guides.
In 2015, she developed Core9 Birth Recovery to assist new moms during the first nine weeks of motherhood through essential movements, whole food nutrition, and community support.
Kristen is the founder and CEO of MOMLETA and the author of Baby Boot Camp: The New Moms 9-Minute Fitness Solution (Sterling 2010).
Prior to becoming a fitness professional, Kristen earned her B.A. degree in Physical Anthropology from the UC Santa Barbara and her A.O.S. degree from Le Cordon Bleu (California Culinary Academy) in San Francisco. She earned her M.S. degree in Applied Nutrition with an emphasis in Sports & Fitness Nutrition from Northeastern University.
