Clare Berthelot: 2017 MOLO Mom of the Year
Baby Boot Camp proudly announces
2017 MOLO Moms of the Year
Prenatal Category Winner:
Nominated by Jamie Caballero, Owner & Instructor of Baby Boot Camp Donaldsonville, Plaquemine & Port Allen, LA, whose nomination noted:
“Clare began her MOLO journey in the 2nd trimester of her 3rd pregnancy. She also recently came back to classes following a knee injury that required surgery. She took MOLO very seriously by attending classes faithfully, exercising at home if she couldn’t attend class (which was only because of her child being sick), completing the daily challenges, and participating in our group book discussions.
“MOLO has taught her how to create healthy habits for herself and her family. During MOLO, she recognized other moms for their efforts each week and encouraged them to keep up the good work.
“She continued exercising while pregnant and attending classes with 2 kids in tow and worked her butt off throughout her 3rd trimester! (with proper modifications, of course) As a result, her dedication and hard work paid off. At 34 weeks pregnant during the post-assessment fitness test, she increased the amount of reps per minute for ALL exercises! Did I mention that she completed the post-assessment at 34 weeks pregnant?!?! Wow, she rocked it!
“I am so proud of her and her accomplishments! She took this challenge on knowing that it would be difficult being so close to her 3rd trimester, but she persevered. Clare is the true definition of MOM STRONG."
Here's what Clare had to say about her MOLO experience:
"MOLO began as a challenge for me to push myself a little harder in my workouts with the hope of improving my eating habits. Since I started MOLO during my second trimester, I wasn't expecting to improve exercise reps, but I did! One aspect of MOLO that I enjoyed most was reading the book Better Than Before and learning how much our habits affect us every day. Having reading assignments and discussions forced me to make time for myself, which I now realize I don’t do often enough. The most difficult challenge for me during MOLO was meal planning, which has been the toughest habit to pick up. However, our evenings are so much more enjoyable when a healthy meal is pre-planned.
"Because of MOLO, I have noticed changes that make me proud. I found myself moving more even when I wasn't at Baby Boot Camp class. I think this was largely attributed to seeing other moms post how they were staying active during MOLO, which was great encouragement! I also started drinking warm lemon water every morning and was surprised to see how much it has helped me with digestion and pregnancy related acne. Through MOLO, I met almost all of my goals! I'd like to continue to remember to stretch every morning and evening on days that I do not have Baby Boot Camp class. I'm looking forward to finishing this pregnancy strong, completing my first Core9 Birth Recovery Program after pregnancy, and participating in future MOLO challenges!"
